So what the heck is the Secret Camping Weekend then?
Well, it’s a bank holiday weekend-long, pop-up, festival-feel campsite in Dorset where you’ll find heaps of activities during the day and a good old-fashioned knees-up by night. Read on to find out more.
The inaugural Secret Camping Weekend is all about providing campers with fun, back-to-basics experiences. Set in a private meadow, fringed by trees on all sides and with room for up to 500 campers, the Dorset location feels hidden and enclosed, yet still offers ample space for all the activities on offer.
There’s an outdoor cinema, jacuzzis, chefs giving outdoor cooking lessons over campfires, photography lessons, coastal walks at Durdle Door on the Jurassic Coast, while evenings are brought to life with live music and chill-out DJ sets (washed down with a few expertly made cocktails).
The whole thing has a real festival vibe but without the high price-tag, and campers are invited to bring their own food and drink, so unlike a normal festival, you won’t need to spend a small fortune once you get there! Old school games like swing-ball and volleyball lend themselves to the low-key nature of the weekend, and they’ve got a treehouse as well.
