Why Work With The Camping With Style Team?

Spending time in the great outdoors is the perfect antidote to an endlessly connected and increasingly stressful life. Camping provides a great way to spend more time outside and reconnect with nature – and ourselves. We uSave

We’re proud to play our part in representing and advocating for greater size diversity in outdoor gear as well as improved ethnic diversity in the outdoor leisure industry as a whole, and we strongly believe that the outdoor industry should take active steps to be more inclusive.

The industry is slowly becoming more inclusive; we are seeing a wider range of sizes available in some active/outdoor gear and we’re gradually seeing greater diversity in the models used by outdoor brands for example, but with just 1% of black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) people visiting UK national parks and many plus-size walkers and swimmers still unable to find technical gear that fits, there’s clearly still a very long way to go.

As long as we treat it with the respect it deserves, the outdoors is for everyone regardless of ethnicity, sexuality, age, size, gender or socio-economic status

We believe that the physical and mental health benefits of the great outdoors are routinely undervalued, making wellbeing a core concept that runs through almost everything that we do here at Camping with Style.

Spending time in the natural world is good for us and camping provides a convenient means to facilitate spending more time outside. Whether it’s sitting around the campfire with friends, a gentle stroll in the woods, swimming in a lake or hiking up mountains, being active outdoors and reconnecting with nature has myriad health benefits we can all take advantage of.

Authenticity is the key to effective Influencer outreach

Working with bloggers, influencers, micro-influencers, journalists; whatever you want to call us, can seem like a big step for brands that haven’t done it before, but the research supports the fact that infulencer outreach when done in the right way, can be beneficial to brands of all sizes.

Authenticity is our founding philosophy. We write about the things that we love and carefully select the brands we work with to ensure high levels of both relevance to our audience and authenticity in what we write about.

What’s Camping with Style all about?

Launched in March 2014, Camping with Style is a PR-friendly blog, full of features and reviews on all things related to living a fun-filled, happy and active life outdoors. We typically write about camping, glamping, wellbeing, nature, travel and adventure activities.

The blog is run by freelance travel and outdoors writer Shell, a keen camper, walker, swimmer and snowboarder who is a professional content marketer and SEO specialist.

Shell is a naturally curious soul with a true passion for the great outdoors, travel and all things active and adventurous and she decided to start the blog after a life-changing snowboarding accident. You can read her story here.

Our strict editorial policy that focuses on quality and authenticity means we have built a blog that has a high DA of 44, attracting over 90,000 unique monthly visitors* and we rank at number 1 in Google for “camping blog” and other related terms.

For detailed information on how we work with brands and our sponsored posts policy, please refer to our collaborations page.

More than ‘just’ a camping blog

The Camping with Style team have a range of varied interests, so the blog also covers topics outside of camping, including;

  • Camping & glamping
  • Walking & hiking
  • Outdoors activities e.g. snowboarding, scuba diving & open water swimming
  • Adventure & weekend breaks
  • Health & wellbeing
  • Nature & wildlife
  • Travel
  • Festivals

We love working with brands small and large, especially homegrown British brands, to bring great experiences, products and destinations to the attention of our readers.

We are passionate about living life outdoors and the blog aims to promote the benefits of an active, outdoorsy lifestyle; making the outdoors more inclusive and encouraging people to explore and reap the benefits of engaging with the natural world.

Who we won’t work with

We love animals and we don’t agree with hunting for sport/fun so never work with brands that we know to sell hunting knives or guns or sites that contain content relating to hunting. As well as not working with businesses that promote hunting, we also refuse to work with gambling businesses.
