The verdict
I’m a size 14 and went for the Large and it fits perfectly. I don’t find normal t-shirts are very flattering, but I really like the fit of the Arete. Along with a wider scoop neck, It’s fitted around the hips, which allows you to ruche up the bottom part across your hips.
The tee flares out higher up the body, resulting in slightly batwing-style arms. The design of the tee provides plenty of room to accommodate those of us with big boobs too, and means you can move around freely without the tee riding up. When climbing in it, I found that the tee didn’t ride up at all, even when I was making big reaches and grabs.
Styling wise, other than the unusual fit, It’s pretty plain, with just a tiny little logo at the bottom of the tee. Usually I like tops that stand out and are bright or have a pattern, but the fit of the tee and the thin moisture wicking fabric that kept me cool, means I’ll definitely continue wearing this tee in the gym, when climbing, snowboarding and under a hoody for Autumn walks.
