The Verdict

When I found out that these unassuming looking socks claim to be anti-inflammatory, anti-odor and anti-microbial I was keen to give them a try. As well as being highly durable the socks provide health benefits like aiding better circulation, making them ideal for things like travel and hiking.

When I first put them on, it felt like I was wearing the flight socks I wear when traveling long haul, tight, but not in an unpleasant way. I found they were a lovely snug, but comfortable fit and I immediately liked the feeling around the midsole area, (where the vertical lines are in the sock design) which somehow made my feet feel lighter.

I don’t have particually sweaty feet, but I did notice that when I’ve worn them out walking on warmer days, my feet have felt good throughout and never felt hot and sweaty, though I do wear a lighter weight walking boot in the summer. I’m not sure I could say that my feet felt less fatigued after walking in these socks, but my feet felt somehow, nicer.

The socks are very lightweight, and after washing they seem to dry particualrly quickly, another great reason to choose them for traveling, particularly the longer length version. Whilst I do suffer with arthritis, I don’t tend to have issues with the joints in my feet, though I would be keen to try copper compression gloves as I do get very painful wrist and finger joints frequently.

For hiking in warm weather and flying, they are great!

As well as the short compression socks that I tried out, Copper Clothing also have a large range of other clothing and accesories available, including everything from pyjamas to bed sheets. My only slight negative would be that whilst the socks are unisex, I do think they look particularly masculine and looks wise, they aren’t the sort of thing I’d choose for day to day wear, but for hiking in warm weather and flying, they are great and I’d definitely be keen to use the long compression socks on my next long haul flight.
