Seven campsites honoured as “Best in Europe”by the prestigious ANWB and ADAC camping clubs, including 7 campsites in Costa Daurada and Terre de L’Ebre.

The Association of Campsites in Costa Daurada and Terre de L’Ebre has 7 establishments that were awarded with ‘Best Campsite 2021’ status, thanks to their sustainable initiatives, environmental awareness, innovation, marketing and accessibility.

The awards recognise the best campsites in Europe and were announced as part of two virtual award ceremonies. The recognition of ‘Best Campsite’ is awarded by ANWB and ADAC, the important motor associations in Holland and Germany, which include 21 million members.

Tarragona campsites are an integral part of the local economy, generating an annual turnover of €100million and almost 4,000 direct and 10,000 indirect jobs.

The seven awarded campsites in Tarragona by ANWB are; Camping La Torre del Sol; Camping Stel Roda de Barà; Playa Montroig Camping Resort; Camping Tamarit Beach Resort; Alannia Resorts Els Prats; Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou

While the seven recognised with Superplätze 2021 by ADAC are; Camping & Resort Sangulí Salou; Camping La Torre del Sol; FKK Camping El Templo del Sol; Playa Montroig Camping Resort; Camping Tamarit Beach Resort; and Alannia Resorts Els Prats. Ratings are based on members’ feedback from around the world and from specialised inspectors in the camping sector who have recognised the effort and commitment to quality from The Association of Campsites in Costa Daurada and Terre de L’Ebre.

With 54 campsites, 64,812 available pitches and 21,604 accommodation units in the Tarragona province, there is no better way to discover these picture-perfect golden sandy beaches.

Campsites in Tarragona are available from €14 per day for a camping plot and from €45 – €300 for a bungalow.

Many of Tarragona’s campsites have prime seafront locations and offer guests the opportunity to interact with others whilst in the safety of being in the great outdoors. Children love camping and many of the sites have amusement parks, swimming pools, spas, padel and tennis courts, football pitches, workout and yoga activities, ensuring a great holiday and experience for everyone.  

The Association of Campsites in Costa Daurada and Terre de L’Ebre is part of The Federation of Hostelry and Tourism in Tarragona (FEHT), which aims to promote the wide and varied range of accommodation in the Tarragona Province. 

The destination Costa Daurada / Federation of Hotels and Tourism of the Province of Tarragona is a federation representing the whole tourism sector of Tarragona area in Catalonia, including professional accommodation associations (outdoor, hotels, rentals), local tourist institutions and offices as well as PortAventura theme park.
