The Verdict

Whenever I camp I always use travel towels. I take so much stuff with me that I try to save spacer wherever I can so instead of a full size towel, I’ve been using thinner travel towels for as long as I can remember.

Not only do travel towels take up much less space, but they also dry off very quickly too. As a regular gym-goer It feels like I’m forever washing and drying towels, and I usually use a thinner towel at the gym now too, popping it on the washing line or radiator in between uses so I’m not washing it after every time I use it.

First off, the Lifeventure SoftFibre Lite Travel Towel is a great colour, but the real issue for me as a size 14 with fairly large boobs, is that a standard bath towel can often be difficult to wrap securely around me, so one of my criteria for a decent towel I can use at the gym and when camping is that it will cover me up and will allow me to knot it securely without any of my er ‘bits’ hanging out, so I was keen to see just how big the ‘giant’ towel really was.

With similar travel towels (and I’ve used quite a few over the years) you find that some are good, and others aren’t as it’s all down to how efficiently they absorb water.

The Lifeventure Soft Fibre Lite Travel Towel is really effective at doing its job. With this style of towel you need to pat yourself dry rather than rub as you might with a regular fluffy bath towel and I found it super effective at drying me off after showers and after paddling in Lochs on a recent trip to Scotland.

After showers I was dry in no time, in fact, even though the towel felt quite wet, thanks to it being so thin it dries really fast too. I’ve left it hung over the shower door for a few hours indoors and within about 4 hours it was totally dry and when left outside and hung over a railing, it was dry within a couple of hours.

Overall Rating 4.5 out of 5 stars (4.5 / 5)

A regular bath towel can be a bit snug when wrapped around large boobs but the Soft Fibre Travel Towel really is massive. As you can see in the picture below it was more than big enough to wrap around me with lots left over.

Despite it’s very generous size, when folded it’s really small and takes up far less space in your bag compared to a regular towel. It works well at doing its intended job and it dries quickly too making this the ideal camping, travel and/or gym towel.
