CAMPING | Great Reasons To Consider A Caravan Staycation
We love to travel and see distant shores, but whenever possible we like to explore what’s right here on our doorstep in the UK. For many, choosing a holiday or mini-break here in the UK is more popular than ever, and staycations are increasingly popular, becoming the savvy way to enjoy a break.
Over the last couple of years we’ve made a concerted effort ourselves to explore more of the UK, cutting down on overseas holidays in order to free up annual leave. We’ve been on heaps of fun camping road trips that have taken us down to the UKs best beach in Devon, and have allowed us climb mountains in Scotland and Snowdon in Wales; things we’d never done before!
We’ve stayed in everything from static caravans to glamping pods and of course, in our own tent, but opting for a touring or static caravan can provide the ultimate in holiday freedom, meaning you can get away whatever the weather.
We’ve recently found the below fab infographic which has been created by Towergate Insurance. Allowing you to chart the popularity of the staycation, the infographic highlights some of the benefits and relative costs of choosing a caravan holiday in the UK over traveling to the continent.
We were amazed at the amount you could save, as well as some of the amazing places to visit that were only a short way away from our home town.
We don’t know about you, but we’re already planning our next staycation and hope to head back up to Scotland early next year.
