With brand new glamping site Swallowfields ready to take their first bookings, we caught up with owners Denise and Ben to ask them about their new luxury glamping venture.

Swallowfields glamping

We’re big fans of Malvern, and were fascinated to learn about the ethos behind Swallowfields which offers a truly unique glamping experience to guests. From luxury spa experiences inside your tent to luxury hampers, Denise and Ben really have thought of everything. Read on to find out more about the experience Swallowfields offers to guests.

The Swallowfields Glamping Experience

After carefully considering all glamping models, we decided upon safari tents (often referred to as lodges) as our chosen accommodation as we felt that it was important that our visitors still felt connected to nature and the camping experience, but with lots of added luxury.

Covering an area of 70 sq metres our spa lodges are really spacious and open out to the spectacular views of the wildflower meadow and the Malvern Hills.  The luxury spa lodges sleep 6 people plus one baby/toddler in a travel cot, has 3 bedrooms with luxury bed linen, en-suite bathrooms with hot running water, rainforest showers, flushing toilets, luxury bath towels, robes, slippers and complimentary toiletries. A fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with a wood burning stove for the cooler evenings.

We wanted the interiors to be luxurious but still retain the rustic charm associated with camping and nature so we took our inspiration from safari tents. We want our glampsite to have a very relaxed inclusive atmosphere as some people feel very intimidated going to the usual high-end spa facility.

We want our guests to feel relaxed, be themselves, wear what they want and enjoy spa treatments in the privacy of their own spa lodges. That’s why we felt it important that each spa lodge had it’s own private bathroom facilities, garden, hot tub and sauna as not everyone feels confident with communal facilities.  We have added an outdoor bucket drench as a bit of fun to help our guests cool down after their sauna.  We even provide in-tent spa treatments.

In addition to the spa lodges and spa facilities, we have an adventure camp and nature hideout on site and our guests can hire bicycles and order added extras such as hampers, treat yourself packs and meals from our HomeCooked Menu which is packed full of hearty classic supper dishes ready to warm up in the oven.  We also have a small honesty shop on site which mainly focuses on stocking luxury bits and bobs, including the freshest, finest local produce around and treats from local artisan food and drink producers as we have a local shop stocking all essential items just 1 mile away.
