Staying warm is one of the simple pleasures I seek constantly throughout the cold winter months, never more so than when I’m spending time away from home. Step forward the super flexible Zonli Z-Walk Pro, a portable heated blanket that’s perfect for both home and travel and my new crush.

Using the blanket

Having returned home from a solo winter weekend break staying in a cabin in Wales, I got to know the Z-Walk Pro inside out thanks to near-freezing temperatures, rain and wind.

Snuggling up, chilling with my Kindle and grounding was the aim of the weekend, and after a chilly morning woodland walk on the first day, I got back to my cabin and wrapped myself up in the blanket.

The blanket itself is really good quality and a great size for one person, there’s a clip that allows you to fasten it around your shoulders and there are two further studs on each side that pop together and create a sleeve, helping to keep the blanket in place around your arms.

Not only does this help keep you warm, but in the drizzle, It keeps you dry by maintaining coverage and thanks to the waterproof and windproof outer shell the drizzle won’t dampen your style!

The blanket is excellent quality and is super warm even with the power switched off. Warmth is ensured because of the full sherpa fleece interior which is really tactile and feels super soft against the skin.

The Zonli power pack is fast to charge and sits inside an internal zipped pocket, below which is the big power button with indicator lights, allowing you to turn the heating elements on and choose from 3 different levels of warmth.

Inside, two large heat pads run down the centre of the blanket, which means when worn, the heat is mostly felt at the top of the back and then again towards the lower back.

Even in the depths of winter, whatever the weather I like to spend as much time outside as possible and this most recent weekend was no exception.

Sat outside on the deck, I remained warm and dry and then later once back indoors I was able to curl up in front of Netflix with the blanket laid on top of me, keeping me super cosy.

Having the flexibility to use this blanket indoors and outside is such a bonus, though when worn and walking around, the power bank is positioned at the bottom of the rear of the blanket which means it does knock against the back of the legs, but it’s really not a big deal.

Do consider that when you turn the heat off using the button, you’ll still need to access the power bank inside the zip-up pocket to ensure you turn that off too.

The only thing I didn’t like was that this came with a US-style plug, however, I already had an adaptor that thankfully works with the power bank, and my regular USB C works to charge it too, so that didn’t turn out to be too much of a disaster.

I love that the blanket comes with a good-quality waterproof bag which is super useful for camping and glamping, and thought has been put into its design, with various carry straps and an internal pocket to hold the power pack and lead.

At full price, this is not a cheap product, but it’s currently down from £240 to just £136 and at that price, I consider it excellent value. If you’re perpetually cold, or just love comfort, then this versatile heated blanket is definitely worth considering.
