NEWS | New Research Concludes Staycations Are More Popular Than Ever in 2018
New research published by Away Resorts has confirmed that a whopping 55% of Brits intend to take their main holiday at a lodge or caravan park this year.
Over a third of those surveyed will be taking their main 2018 holiday in the UK, and It was the 35 – 44 and 45 – 54 age groups that picked lodge and caravan parks the most, suggesting that families and empty nesters are interested in a holiday experience where facilities and entertainment are within easy reach.
- 44% of respondents will be staying next to a beach
- 60% said that the local area is the most important aspect when booking their holiday
- 43% of those having a staycation return regularly to their chosen destination
