Our Verdict

Despite rarely traveling or camping light, I do prefer to save space wherever possible. For that reason, I always use a microfibre towel when I go camping, and at less that a quarter of the size of a normal bath or beach towel, they are a great way to save a bit of space. As well as frequent camping trips, I am also an obsessive gym goer, swimming daily, so towels get an awful lot of use by me.

When the Zigzed Microfibre Travel Towel arrived, I packed it in my gym bag ready for the following mornings swim. It comes in a little velcro topped storage bag, and is approximately the size of an A5 notebook. It’s small and incredibly light but is surprisingly large once folded out. To be fair, I normally use bath sheets, as with a large chest, towels meet in the middle, but often leave a bit of a gap lower down, so not wanting to startle anyone with a flash of my lady bits in public, I tend to opt for larger towels.

The Zigzed Travel Towel is a great size (large) and would certainly be big enough to hide most peoples modesty, however when wrapped around me, there was a little gap. The towel feels a bit like a chamoise leather to the touch (it’s described as ‘suede feel’) which I found quite unusual but it is lovely and soft. The material doesn’t slide over your skin, which makes it necessary to pat, rather than rub yourself dry, as you might do with a usual beach or bath towel. Despite it being so  thin and small, it is super absorbent and I was dry faster than with my usual towel, an impressive performance for something so small.

The towel also dries very quickly, making it ideal for camping, backpacking and festivals, also great for keeping in the boot of your car to dry off a wet dog after a walk. It’s great value for money and you can buy it on Amazon here.
