The verdict

If you’ve seen photographs from any of our camping trips, you’ll know that we don’t do bland and boring. When it comes to camping gear, If it comes in a bright colour or in a funky pattern, you can bet we’ll be all over it!

Our old, and regularly featured bright patterned camping chairs (an end of Season bargain from Tesco 4 years go) had seen better days, and are covered in mould after a winter spent in a damp shed, so we’d been looking for a replacement.

Trespass Branson Striped Camp Chair

The Branson camp chair from Trespass was exactly the sort of thing we were looking for, so we welcomed to chance to review them!

The striped camping chair is available in 2 different colours, and we went for the tropical stripe (also available in Lemongrass stripe). It’s no different to any other camping chair of this kind, though it does feel slightly sturdier than our old ones, in all others senses it’s a direct comparison in terms of weight, size and style.

Chairs inside tent

The chairs come in a matching carry bag, and also feature a mesh cup holder in one arm. They are exactly what we wanted, feel sturdy, are comfy to sit on and with their bright funky colouring, they look great inside and outside our bell tent.

After a year of use, one of the chairs has now broken, the seat at the back on one side now drops down the chair pole rendering it unusable. The other chair, is still going strong however so we’re guessing this break was down to sheer bad luck.

We still think the chairs are decent quality and good value for money, but they aren’t really a ‘buy once’ investment and our quest continues to find the perfect camp chair that will stand up to long-term use.
