The Verdict

 It’s no fun squelching around in wet socks & boots.

And for those of us that aren’t just fair weather walkers – we’ve all been there. Finding comfy and 100% waterproof wellies is vital then to make those wet walks more enjoyable, keep your socks dry & keep your feet happy.

I tested the cute looking Amanda Slip On Wellington Boot in a variety of wet and damp walks with my dog Norman to see if they delivered the goods.

I opted for size 6.5 as I’m normally between a 6-7 in boots and I found the fit to be good with extra room to comfortably fit thick walking socks on. True to size and width I’d recommend you go for your usual size.

The overall fit and feel of the boots is what I’d describe as roomy over the top of the foot, but nice and snug where it matters on the heel area making walking in them pleasant.

Style

If you’re like me and find the usual tall wellington boot style to sometimes be overkill and you prefer a shorter design, these lovely boots by BOGS should go on your shopping list.

Available in Black and Emerald green, I found the short slip on boots to be easy to get on and off.

What about the grip? The sole of the boot is made from a sturdy rubber which I found to give good grip on wet surfaces.

Comfort

The midsole features what BOG call ‘rebound cushioning’ which means basically if you usually have to put extra inner soles/orthopaedic supports in wellies to make them comfortable to go on longer walks in, you’ll probably find like me you won’t need to with these.

Final Thoughts

Stylish, funky looking and comfy the Amanda Slip On Boot happily kept my feet bone dry whilst walking in rain soaked fields, mud and splashing through streams. Result.

Because of the comfort these boots give, you’ll find you no longer need the excuse of rain to throw your wellies on and go for a ramble.
