Jack Wolfskin To Debut at Kendal Mountain Festival

Leading outdoor company Jack Wolfskin based in Idstein near Frankfurt, Germany, proudly announce becoming a partner sponsor of this years’ Kendal Mountain Festival. Taking place in the Lake District, Cumbia, this November.

Attracting 15,000+ outdoor enthusiasts each year, Jack Wolfskin will utilise their attendance to spread wide awareness for the brand’s new claim and mantra ‘We Live to Discover’.

Mokhtar Benbouazza, Vice President Marketing & Digital at Jack Wolfskin said: “Widely admired for the broad programme of outdoor films and activities on offer to festival attendees, the timing is perfect for Jack Wolfskin to make its debut appearance at the Kendal Mountain Festival this November.”

A large interactive stand in the festival’s basecamp area will excite and inform festival attendees – showcasing the brand’s latest FW 22/23 collection.

Guests will also have the opportunity to put their throwing and accuracy skills to the test in a fun Hoopla game where prizes – from water bottles to website vouchers – will be awarded to sharpshooters and those that can answer some topical questions.

Jack Wolfskin is also honoured to welcome long-standing insulation technology partner PrimaLoft to the stand alongside WaterBear, a free streaming service dedicated to the future of our planet. Jack Wolfskin is proud to be a WaterBear founding partner.

WaterBear will showcase a selection of their beautifully captured films and visitors will have the opportunity to sign up to the free of charge service. The PrimaLoft exhibit will educate and entertain, giving the chance to take a closer look and feel of the insulation, and keen gamers can take on the ‘PrimaLoft challenge’.

Away from the stand, Jack Wolfskin is excited to host two sessions across the weekend with special guests, award-winning wildlife filmmaker and zoologist Roxy Furman and inspirational climber Nick Gardner, who recently summited all 282 Scottish Munros in 800 days aged 80 years+ while raising money for Alzheimer’s Scotland and the Royal Osteoporosis Society.

On Friday 18th, Roxy, Jack Wolfskin and WaterBear will host a session around wildlife activism, including film screenings of her recent films ‘Swimming with Giants’ and ‘Voices of the Forest’ documenting the lives of the endangered whale shark and Geoffrey’s spider monkey. Delving into the relationship between ecotourism and wildlife. This will be followed by a conversation on the power of storytelling in environmental filmmaking.

There will also be two screenings of WaterBear Originals ‘A Wild Education’ and ‘Every Living Thing: Wolves’, each offering profoundly hopeful insights as to how we can protect landscapes, wildlife and communities most at risk. Tickets for the Saturday session, which takes place at 2pm-3pm in Kendal Town Hall are now available from Kendal Mountain Festival.

On Saturday 19th, Nick Gardner and Jack Wolfskin will host a session, alongside filmmaker Jay Golian, reliving the journey to Nick’s 282 Munros, with stories and film bringing it to life. This free entry event takes place on the Basecamp Stage on Sunday at 3:30pm-4:15pm.

Jack Wolfskin looks forward to welcoming attendees at the stand campfire, a focal point of the stand which represents and honours the brand’s baptism in the Canadian wilderness in the 1980s.
