GEAR | LifeStraw® Go Filtration Water Bottle For Hiking Review
The LifeStraw® range by Vestergarrd uses a clever water filter, that makes contaminated water safe to drink. The filters are easily cleaned and (infrequently) replaced, they are fast to use and they don’t require any kind of power.
There are multiple different products in the range, including the original LifeStraw® that you use to drink directly from any water source, and the LifeStraw® Go that I have, which allows you to store water and carry it with you.

I’ve had mine for several months now, and have used it frequently. Most recently, when we went on a day hike up Fleetwith Pike in Cumbria. Starting our walk on the far shore of Buttermere, we found a small waterfall flowing into the lake, and filled up the LifeStraw® Go, giving us safe, clean water to see us through the hike.
The water bottle has a sturdy caribiner clip on it, which makes it easy to attach to a backpack. I love the simplicity of using the LifeStraw® Go, and really like not having to carry heavy bottles of water with me when I go out walking.
The LifeStaw® Go provides the flexibility to fill it up with water and carry it with you, or to drink or fill as needed.

Our Verdict
We think it’s a great product, made even better by the fact that local communities in developing countries are supported as a direct result.
The LifeStraw® Go is extremely well made and hugely practical. It’s particularly ideal for long-distance trail hikes, adventure travel and backpacking in areas where access to clean water can’t always be guaranteed.
