The Verdict

These boots are a complete hit. My sometimes fussy 6-year-old really loves the look and feel of these boots, and after a small amount of getting used to the lacing system finds them easy to get on. He does not like it when boots run against his ankles, and the padded collar on these mean that they were immediately declared to be favourite boots.

They have, as you would expect, coped with all of the climbing, jumping, running that comes with having an active child, and giving him the stylish look which becomes more and more important.

From a parent perspective, his feet are well supported by the shaped insole and the boots are clearly sturdy and well-made and will take him safely on all of his adventures.  They are going to last, he will grow out of these before they show any great signs of wear, after a number of outings they still look almost brand new.  They have already stood up to the puddle test, the jumping in piles of leaves test, the tree climbing test, the long trek test, and have been announced to be the best thing for running races.

Overall they are really good value for money, comfortable, up to the job of keeping up with an energetic child and allow us both to leave the house smiling, I am now looking at getting a pair of Keen boots for myself.
