Neper Magenta Knitted BUFF Neckwarmer

Strange to say it, but Buff make products that you probably didn’t even realise you needed. Their often imitated neck warmers are incredibly versatile and can be worn in a variety of ways. Most commonly around the neck, in the manner of a cowl or scarf, or hoiked up over the head like a head band.

When I’m on the mountain snowboarding, I like to wear something around my neck to keep me warm. I have found my Buff particularly useful when stuck on a long chair lift. Buffs are like a long fabric tube, that can be pulled up to cover the bottom half of the face, helping to protect you from the elements.

When I go out hiking, I use my Original Buff as a headband to keep my hair out of my face. They come in a mind-boggling array of different designs and there are a multitude of styles to choose from. Ranges are available for men, women and kids, though many of their designs could be considered unisex, and if you choose the narrow ladies version of the Original Buff, it will fit older children too.

They start at £15 and can be purchased online from Kit Shack, who sent us the gorgeous Neper Magenta Knitted BUFF to try. If you get cold easily, then I can thoroughly recommend it. With a thick fleece lining and bright chunky knit, it’s super effective at keeping you snug.

On the day that I went out walking with the intention of taking some shots of me wearing the Buff, it was cold and dull. Just as I parked up at Delemere Forest visitor centre, the heavens opened, so I ended up taking just a few hurried snaps and then having to leave my camera in the car.  I was kept toasty and warm throughout my unexpectedly short walk, but as I began to get a bit soggy, I decided to cut it short and seek refuge back in my car.

Thank you to Kit Shack who supplied the Buff for us to test.
