Today is Earth Day, so we thought we’d do our own little bit by sharing some of the best eco-friendly camping and active outdoors gear to inspire you into making some simple swaps that will help to send less plastic to landfill.

Instead of plastic or melamine, I now use bamboo plates and cutlery when camping

Traditionally, camping gear was utilitarian and often nasty looking, made from green or white plastic. Increasingly though, forward thinking camping manufacturers like Outwell and Vango are using more sustainable materials like Bamboo, which are not only far more aesthetically pleasing, but also more eco-friendly compared to their plastic counter-parts.
